After contract ratification and prior to settlement date, agents are to have their clients add or remove their name from the billing of all utilities, effective settlement morning.
List Side:
Have your seller contact their utility companies and also provide you with the names and numbers, so you can forward that to the buyer’s agent.
Buy Side:
Ask the listing agent for the sellers’ utility companies so you can give it to your buyer. Tell your buyer to contact each of the companies and set up billing in their name effective settlement date. Frequently used utility companies are:

Trash service might be condo handled or:
Republic or American. See who the seller was using.
